Naarmate van steeds meer ziektebeelden de genetische achtergrond bekend wordt, ontstaat de mogelijkheid om gerichte behandeling te geven, niet alleen afgestemd op de persoon, maar ook gericht op het onderliggende moleculaire proces. In deze bijdrage staan we stil bij precision medicine bij epilepsie, dat op drie niveaus kan plaatsvinden.
